What this covers
This policy explains what Covered collects when you use our website and our product, why we collect it, and what we do with it.
What we collect
When you contact us. Your name, work email, business, role and anything you type into the form. We use it to reply to you and to prepare for a conversation. We do not sell it.
When you use the calculator. Nothing. The figures you enter are worked out in your browser and are not sent to us. If you carry a result through to the demo form, that number travels in the link and only reaches us if you submit the form.
When you use the product.The names, roles and mobile numbers you add for your team, the shifts you schedule, and the short replies your staff text back when a shift is offered. We do not read anything else on anyone’s phone — not their messages, their contacts, or their location.
Your staff’s phone numbers
To offer a shift by text we process limited information about your workers: their name, role, mobile number, when they’re available, and whether they said yes. Every worker opts in before they receive a message, and any worker can text back a single word to stop receiving them for good. We act as a processor for this data on your instructions, we never text your customers, and we never share or sell anyone’s number.
Who owns your data
You do. Your roster, your schedule and your record of who covered what belong to your business. We do not sell them, and we do not pool them with other businesses.
Retention and deletion
We hold your data for as long as your account is active. When you leave you can export it, we stop sending on your behalf, and we delete on a defined schedule after that.
Sub-processors
We use third parties for hosting, text-message and email delivery, and error monitoring. Each is bound by contract to handle data only as instructed. We will provide the current list on request.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to [email protected] and we will handle it.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will say so here and date it, rather than editing quietly.
